Bed Wedge Elevation Pillow
This bed wedge pillow is designed to gently elevate the upper body while resting or sleeping. The angled triangular shape creates a raised position that many people find comfortable for reading, relaxing or sleeping.
The wedge design can be placed under a pillow to create a gradual incline, or used directly for support when sitting up in bed. It can also be positioned under the legs for additional elevation.
The pillow is made from supportive foam and includes a removable poly-cotton cover that can be easily washed.

Clinical Research & Evidence
Peer-reviewed studies supporting Bed Wedge Pillow | Elevating Support for Sleep, Acid Reflux & Reading
Head-of-bed elevation using wedge pillow reduced esophageal acid exposure from 21.2% to 15% (29% reduction) in patients with nocturnal GERD
Clinical trial with 20cm wedge pillow (20° angle) showed significant improvement in reflux symptom scores: MD −5.1 (95% CI −7.6 to −2.6) vs control
Head-of-bed elevation could be considered as a cheap and safe alternative to drug interventions with unfavourable safety profiles for relieving gastroesophageal reflux symptoms.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which material should I choose?
The wedge pillow is available with three different comfort options:
- Standard Foam – a soft yet supportive foam with a responsive feel.
- Memory Foam Topper – includes a 1" memory foam layer that adapts gradually to body shape.
- Graphite Latex Topper – a natural latex blend with graphite designed to help regulate temperature and provide a resilient sleeping surface.
The memory foam and graphite latex options include a comfort layer on the top section of the wedge.
What size should I choose if I share a bed?
The wedge is available in several widths. Many people choose the size based on the width of their bed.
- 24" (61 cm) – commonly chosen for use on a shared double bed.
- 30" (76 cm) – suitable for wider beds.
- 36" (91.5 cm) – provides a wider support area.
Measuring the available space on your mattress can help determine the most comfortable width.
Can the wedge be placed under the mattress?
No. This wedge pillow is designed to be placed on top of the mattress. It can be used under your pillow or directly under the upper body.
What is the height of the bed wedge?
The wedge has a height of approximately 6" (15 cm), creating a gradual incline when placed on the mattress.
Can side sleepers use the wedge?
Yes. The wedge can be used by both back and side sleepers depending on personal comfort preferences.
How can the wedge pillow be used?
The wedge pillow can be used in several ways, including:
- Placed under a pillow for elevated sleeping
- Used behind the back when sitting in bed
- Placed under the legs for elevation and support
What angle is best for a wedge pillow?
30-45 degree incline (6-8 inches height) provides optimal elevation for reflux and breathing. Lower angles (15-20°) work for reading/TV; higher angles (45-60°) for severe reflux or respiratory conditions.
